GAZ BA 64 Scout Car With armoring & Degtyaryov machine gun or PTRD anti-tank rifle added it was similar to the German sdkfz-234, one of which was captured, studied & the design was based. During the war the BA 64, supplied by Russia, was also used by Polish & Czech forces. |

Due to shortages of raw materials in 1942 WW2, the ZIS 5 became lighter, less robust & was known as the ZIS 5V. |
