Apart from Italy the vehicles in general produced by Japan for WW2 were of a much lighter construction than those of other countries. Below are a few examples of military vehicles manufactured in Japan during the war years, along with basic technical data. |

Kurogane Type 95 Scout Car From 1936 to 1944 approximately 4700 of these cars were manufactured by Tokyu Kurogane Manufacturing Industry & was the first 4x4 passenger car to go into production. With its all wheel drive & tall thin tires it was ideal as a rough terrain reconnaissance and personnel transport vehicle. |
